The county of Hampshire is one of the most gorgeous places in the entire United Kingdom. There are a lot of things to do and see, which is why it’s worth the trip from anywhere in the world. If you want to know what to see in Hampshire, then check out the list below.
1. Marwell Wildlife- The Marwell Zoo is located in Hampshire and it is spread over 140-acres, so it is a huge place, but you will have a lot of fun there and it offers a learning
experience. Marwell Wildlife is a charity and it owns the zoo, which is home to over 1,000 animals of more than 125 different species. All of the exhibits are must see, and this includes Roof of the World, Fur-Feathers-Scales and Heart of Africa to name a few. If you plan on visiting the zoo, then make sure you set aside plenty of time because you can easily spend an entire day there.
2. New Forest National Park- This is a national park where you can take part in numerous fun activities, such as cycling, camping, hunting, hiking or you can view some of the wildlife, including deer. Other types of wildlife you may see while there include various reptiles, birds, New Forest ponies, cattle, pigs and a number of mammals. If you like peace and quiet and going for long walks, bike runs or you love camping or you simply enjoy being outdoors, then you’ll want to pay a visit to the New Forest National Park.
3. HMS Victory-The world’s most famous warship is HMS Victory and it is an exhibit you can go to see whilst in Hampshire, plus, it is the oldest commissioned warship in the world. There is a lot of history behind the ship and you can learn a lot about it by exploring it, which can take you a few hours because it is a huge ship. You will love what the exterior and interior looks like and if you have kids, then they will love exploring the ship and they will learn a lot about it.
4. Hurst Castle- If you’re a fan of ancient castles, then you’ll love Hurst Castle. The fortress features 38-ton guns, as well as a lighthouse. You will want to bring your camera along with you because you’ll want to take as many pictures of the castle as you can. If you get hungry, then don’t worry because there is a cafe located onsite, and it serves delicious food. If you and your family are looking for a unique attraction, then pay a visit to Hurst Castle, but feel free to go there by yourself too because it is one of those places everyone should see at least once in their life.
